During Prospect’s long history of working with professional and amateur members of the sports community (e.g. draft-eligible athletes, and both professional and amateur coaches), company-President Michael Langlois crafted a number of informal guides and handbooks for use by his clients. In most cases, these guides were originally intended to serve as brief reminders of some of the core themes and ideas which Prospect had presented in its public talks, seminars, and private coaching sessions.

In 2004, Prospect decided to begin offering these books, for a nominal fee, to all members of the public. In the process, Prospect “universalized” these texts, making them accessible and applicable to individuals who have not personally worked with Michael. Of course, these handbooks are quite narrowly focused, and as such are not indicative of the breadth of Prospect’s services. Moving forward, Prospect has decided to continue publicly releasing new and diverse works, as the drafting of new handbooks is made appropriate and relevant.

Since being made available to the public, Prospect’s publications have received overwhelmingly positive reviews. Even those who have not yet had the opportunity to work in-person with Prospect have benefited greatly from the substantive advice offered in these works.
